Bochen is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the west of the city of Wipperfürth. In the northwest of the village in the springs Green Baumer Bach opens Bochener Bach . Neighboring towns are Heidkotten , Schmalenfeld , Wüstemünte and Ritzenhaufe .

Politically, Bochen is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate of the electoral district 17.1 (171) Hammern .

history

In 1368 the place was first mentioned under the name "Buken" in correspondence between the city of Wipperfürth and the city of Lübeck . The topographical photograph of the Rhineland from 1825 shows four separate floor plans in a delimited courtyard under the name “Bochen” .
