Kluse is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth near the federal highway 506 , which was an important military route between Cologne and Dortmund in the Middle Ages . The Kluser Siefen flows to the north of the village and flows over the Lingenbach into the Große Dhünn . Neighboring places are Kaplansherweg , Ritzenhaufe , Klingsiepen and Holte .

Politically, Kluse is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 7.1 (071) south-western urban area.

The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows two courtyards and denotes them with "Cluse" . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows five separate floor plans in the enclosed courtyard in “Cluse” . From the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844, the spelling of the place name is Kluse.

A sandstone crossroads erected in 1882 is in the local area.

1951 the first Kluser fair is mentioned in the "Bergische Landeszeitung" .
