List of street names in Aachen-Mitte
This list of street names of Aachen-Mitte carries the names of current roads, streets, paths and squares and their location within the municipality on and - if known - the names of origin, namesake and historical significance. The street names of the districts of Burtscheid with the Frankenberger Viertel and Forst with Rothe Erde , which belong to Aachen-Mitte, are also listed, whereas the streets of the incorporated districts of Brand , Eilendorf , Haaren , Kornelimünster / Walheim , Laurensberg and Richterich are not listed here due to the size of the city of Aachen are taken into account.
During the time of National Socialism , from July 1933 onwards, the responsible authorities gave some streets their names after various "NS sizes". These were reversed after the Second World War, as were the street names of people who, in later research, could prove a certain proximity to the Nazi regime.
In February 2019, the city council decided to add the historical name to some selected street signs in the Aachen dialect .
