The Paleo Festival is an annual end of July-find festival in Swiss Nyon , that the non-profit club Paléo arts spectacles et organized and carried out. The three-day event, which took place for the first time in 1976 under the name First Folk Festival in Nyon's old community hall, now attracts well over 200,000 visitors every year. Today the open-air festival is located in the north of the city and covers over ten hectares of pastureland.

Between 1977 and 1985 the festival was called Nyon Folk Festival . The event was named Paléo in 1983 after a racehorse that bore this name.

As part of the positive economic outlook, the Paléo Festival founded OPUS ONE AG in 1993 with the Montreux Jazz Festival , which together with her has offices in Nyon and also organizes private events.
