List of junior world champions in Nordic combined
The list of junior world champions in Nordic combined lists all junior world champions as well as the second and third placed in individual and team competitions in Nordic combined at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships .
Men
singles
Until 1984, the junior combiners fought for medals according to the classic system. This system had the disadvantage that the winner was only determined after a complicated key. The Gundersen method was introduced at the 1984 World Cup in Trondheim . From now on, whoever reached the finish line first was the new world champion.
Another change was made at the 1997 World Junior Championship in Canmore . From now on, after the jumps on the hill, it was no longer a 15 km long trail, but only a 10 km long.
sprint
In 2000 this discipline was introduced, in which the athletes only had a 5 km long track to go instead of the 10 km trail. In 2020, the sprint was discontinued in favor of a mixed team competition.
