The Renault Rodéo is an open front-wheel drive recreational vehicle from the French manufacturer Renault .

After the success of the R4 Plein Air , a fun convertible, Renault added the Rodéo made by the manufacturer Ateliers de Construction du Livradois (ACL) to its range in autumn 1970 . MAVA-Renault was also supported by Renault .

Rodéo 4 (1970-1981)

The original Rodéo 4 was built by ACL between October 1970 and August 1981. It is based on the panel van version of the R4 and was powered by an 845 cm³ engine.

Rodéo 6 (1972-1981)

From autumn 1972 a Rodéo 6 was also offered, which differed from the Rodéo 4 in terms of a modified body and larger engine. He had the 1108 cc engine of the R6 . From October 1980, an improved 1289 cc engine from the R12 was installed, which achieved 32.5 kW (45 hp) in the Rodéo. The floor pan of the R6 was used. The body is made of fiberglass .

Rodéo (1981-1987)

From September 1981 only the Rodéo was offered, which was also known as Rodéo 5 . It had a 1280 cm³ engine and was still produced by Teilhol .

The model series was discontinued in May 1987 without a successor.
