The TRM 10000 (in soldiers' jargon: le dix mille ) is a French heavy truck (6 × 6) from Renault Trucks , which is the successor to the TRM 9000. It is primarily intended for the transport of military loads, but there are also variants for other tasks.

history

Production of the TRM 10000 began in 1985. It was developed from the older nine-ton TRM 9000, which was mainly intended for export. It differs from this one in that it has an extended wheelbase , an improved transmission and a more powerful engine.

The French armed forces originally planned to procure 5,000 trucks, with only 1,203 vehicles ultimately being delivered. The TRM 10000 was produced in different versions. It can transport up to 24 soldiers on benches on the loading area. A special version with an enlarged driver's cab was designed as a tractor for the French Canon 155 TRF1 field howitzer .
