The Renault Type AM was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 10 CV and from 1909 10/14 CV .

The national approval authority approved the successor to the Renault Type AH on March 1, 1907. The successor was the Renault Type BK .

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke produced 10 to 14 hp from a displacement of 2121 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 37 km / h to 57 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 272 cm and a track width of 134 cm, the vehicle was 381 cm long and 161 cm wide. The chassis weighed 750 kg. There was a choice of Phaeton , Double Phaeton and Limousine . The chassis initially cost 9500 francs and from 1909 only 9000 francs.
