description

Renault presented the model at the Paris Motor Show in December 1907. The national registration authority granted its registration on June 18, 1908. It was the first Renault model with a six-cylinder engine and at the same time Renault's passenger car with the largest displacement . The successor was the Renault Type BH in 1909

A water-cooled six - cylinder engine with a 120 mm bore and 140 mm stroke produced 38 to 54 hp from a displacement of 9500 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 79 km / h to 116 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

In 1908 the vehicle was 516 cm long and 178.6 cm wide with a wheelbase of 395.5 cm and a track width of 145 cm. In 1909 there were two different chassis to choose from, with a wheelbase of 350 cm or 370 cm and a track width of 140 cm for a vehicle length of 475.5 cm or 495.5 cm and a vehicle width of 169 cm. The chassis weighed 1500 kg in the first year. The price for the chassis was 24,000 francs . There was a choice of double phaeton , triple phaeton , limousine and landaulet . An Esders limousine has survived.
