There are a large number of churches and other sacred buildings in Berlin , so only those should be included here that are of particular importance in terms of church history, town history or architecture. Also refer to the Dehio manual:

At the beginning of the 19th century there were 23 churches in Old Berlin, whose names and addresses can be found in the Brief Description of Berlin in the 1822 address book.
