List of divisions of the Wehrmacht
The list of divisions of the Wehrmacht gives an overview of all major units of the Wehrmacht in World War II .

Motorized divisions
Infantry divisions
During the war, the naming of the infantry divisions changed several times. On June 23, 1943, the Army Organization Department ordered the renaming of all newly established infantry to grenadier divisions with immediate effect. From autumn 1944, newly established infantry divisions were only set up as Volksgrenadier divisions.
Special Operations Divisions
- Brandenburg Division (established as the Brandenburg Special Association ; renamed the Brandenburg Division on April 1, 1943. )
Mixed divisions
- Division "von Broich" (set up as division "von Broich" ; renamed the division "von Manteuffel" in February 1943. It consisted of mixed troops).
- Division zV ( division for retaliation , set up as a mixed association of members of the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS for the use of V weapons .)
