The Renault NN was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 6 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on September 15, 1924. The model had no direct predecessor, as the Renault Type MT was assigned to a different class with its shorter wheelbase. Model updates led to type NN 1 in 1927 and type NN 2 in 1928 . Production ended in 1929. The vehicle had no direct successor.

The water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 58 mm bore and 90 mm stroke had a displacement of 951 cm³ . The engine output was initially given as 17 HP and later with 15 HP. It was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 41 km / h to 56 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

Type NN

With a wheelbase of 265 cm and a track width of 115 cm, the vehicle was 355 cm long and between 135 cm and 137 cm wide. One source cites a height of 172 cm, but does not state which body version this information refers to. The turning circle was given as 11 meters. The chassis weighed 520 kg, the complete vehicle 1100 kg. There was a choice of touring cars , limousines , landaulets and roadsters .

In 1926 there were small model updates. From January the hood was a little higher. From March the front fenders on the normal and luxury models were round, but the basic models continued to taper off. From October, the Renault rhomb replaced the round emblem on the front. In the course of the year, a commercial torpedo was also offered .

Type NN 1

The dimensions of the Type NN 1 presented in 1927 now corresponded to the Renault Monasix . With the same wheelbase as before and a track width of 130 cm, the vehicle was 370 cm long and 155 cm wide. Front and rear bumpers were a visual distinguishing feature from the type NN .

Type NN 2

The type NN 2 presented in 1928 had only minor changes such as a single-disc dry clutch and a banjo axle in the rear.
