description

Renault presented this model at the end of 1928 as a luxury variant of the Renault Vivasix . In 1939 production ended without a successor.

Type PG 2

The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke had a displacement of 3181 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft .

The radiator was placed behind the engine. On the front of the vehicle was a rhombus , the Renault trademark, and a star , as with all Stella variants. The front bumper consisted of two tubes. The difference to the basic model was u. a. in two windshield wipers , door pockets and chrome-plated hubcaps . Limousine and Pullman limousine have survived.

Type PG 3

This model appeared as a 1930 model in 1929. The radiator was now placed in front of the engine. The grille was arranged at a slight angle. There were still no ventilation slots on the sides of the bonnet. The track width was 144 cm at the front and 145.4 cm at the rear. The wheelbase of the five-seater bodies was 310.7 cm and that of the seven-seat bodies was 334.7 cm. As before, the limousine and Pullman limousine have been handed down.

Type PG 4

This version followed in October 1930. There were vertical vents on the sides of the hood. The front bumper consisted of two tubes. In addition to the limousine and Pullman limousine, a convertible was also available. The vehicles with the short chassis were 450 cm long and 170 cm wide.

Type PG 5

This version appeared in October 1931. There were hardly any visual changes. The vehicles were 445 cm or 469 cm long and 174 cm wide. A roadster was also on offer.

Type PG 7

This version was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1932. The engine developed 65 hp . Presumably three ventilation flaps of the same size in the sides in the bonnet as well as a one-piece straight front bumper were identifying features. Limousine and Pullman limousine have survived. At the beginning of 1933 the SA version with a different engine mount supplemented the range.

Type PG 9

This version appeared in October 1933. The wheelbase of the short chassis had been lengthened to 313.4 cm. Only limousines and Pullman limousines were offered. The vehicles were 458 cm or 480 cm long and 180 cm wide.

Type ZA 2

This version was approved on December 15, 1933. The cylinder bore, which was enlarged to 80 mm, provided 3619 cm³ displacement and 85 hp. The wheelbase and track width remained unchanged. The turning circle was given as 14 meters. The chassis weighed 1150 kg. There were four ventilation flaps of different heights in the sides of the bonnet.

Type ZA 3

This version appeared in October 1934. There were four horizontal vents in the sides of the bonnet. Between the two short front bumpers place was for the license plate number . Only limousines and Pullman limousines were offered. With a wheelbase of 313 cm or 339 cm, the vehicles were 478 cm or 500 cm long and 180 cm wide. Production ended on March 26, 1935.

Type ACR 1

This version replaced the previous one on March 26, 1935. The license had already been granted on December 12, 1934. The cylinder bore had been enlarged again, this time to 85 mm, which resulted in 4086 cc displacement. Otherwise there were no changes to the previous model.

Type ACR 2

This version from October 1935 corresponded to the type ACR 1 . It was the last version with running boards .

Type ADB 1

On October 3, 1935, this version was approved. The chassis had a uniform 313 cm wheelbase and 145.4 cm track. The four-door sedan with four side windows and six seats was 490.5 cm long and the four-door Pullman sedan with six side windows and eight seats was 494 cm long. The absence of running boards resulted in a larger interior width. In the sides of the bonnet there were four to five ventilation slots arranged closely one above the other. The headlights were integrated into the front fenders .

Type ADB 2

This version appeared in October 1936. The grille was rounded on the sides and divided vertically. In the sides of the bonnet there were five ventilation openings in the shape of a parallelogram . From this model on, only Pullman limousines were in the range.

Type ADB 3

In March 1937, this version replaced the previous one. The front bumper was one piece and straight. The rear wheels were covered. There was a change in the brakes.

Type ADB 4

This version from October 1937 had open rear wheels and slightly different bumpers.

Type ADB 5

In this version from April 1938, the rear wheels were covered again.

Type BDZ 1

This last execution followed in October 1938. The approval took place on October 20, 1938. The headlights were no longer as strongly integrated into the fenders as before. The grille was now divided horizontally. The windows in the rear doors were split. The vehicle was 496.5 cm long and 177 cm wide. Another source mentions a wheelbase of 321 cm, a length of 493 cm and a width of 175 cm.
