The Bluff Hill National Park (English Bluff Hill National Park ) is a 18.06 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia .

location

The park is located in the Mackay region about 830 kilometers northwest of Brisbane and 45 kilometers west of Mackay . The closest city is Miriani . From here you pass the national park on the Mirani Mount Ossa Road after about 15 kilometers. There are no roads, hiking trails or other visitor facilities there.

In the neighborhood are the national parks Eungella , Mount Ossa , Mount Martin and Pioneer Peaks .

Terrain forms

The Bluff Hill National Park comprises a range of hills up to 440 meters high that rise from the coastal plain. It forms a natural connection between the higher inland Clarke and Conners Ranges and the coastal lowlands.

The vegetation consists mainly of rainforest with an increasing number of New Guinea Araucarias (English: Hoop Pines ). Nephrolepis obliterata from the genus of sword ferns, which is native to the park, is classified as worthy of protection.
