The Fairlies Knob National Park (English: Fairlies Knob National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland .

It is 231 kilometers north of Brisbane and 40 kilometers west of Maryborough .

The park is located on a pristine offshoot of the Sea View Range , 10 kilometers north of Aramara , a town on State Road 86 midway between Maryborough and Biggende . The park can only be reached on foot.

In the neighborhood are the national parks Wongi , Woowoonga , Woocoo , Mount Walsh and Coalstoun Lakes .

General

The 299 hectare area was declared a national park in 1910 in order to protect the local rainforest and to secure a small recreational area for the population.
