The Jack River National Park ( English Jack River National Park ) is a 1660 square kilometer national park on the Cape York Peninsula in the Australian state of Queensland . It is administered by the local Aborigines together with the Queensland National Park Administration under the status of Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land (CYPAL) .
location
The park is located in the Far North Queensland region and is 80 kilometers northwest of Cooktown and 50 kilometers north of Laura . It borders immediately to the west on Lakefield National Park , in the north on Cape Melville National Park and in the east on Starcke National Park . There is no access to the park and there are no visitor facilities.
Naming
The national park is named after the Jack River , a river that rises in the eastern part of the park.
