The Mount Ossa National Park (English Mount Ossa National Park ) is a 8.7 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia .

It is located on the Bruce Highway 42 kilometers northwest of Mackay and 80 kilometers south of Airlie Beach at the height of the town of the same name Mount Ossa . There are no roads, hiking trails or other visitor facilities in the national park.
In the neighborhood are the national parks Eungella , Bluff Hill , Mount Martin and Pioneer Peaks .
Terrain forms
The Mount Ossa National Park comprises a range of granite hills that are up to 290 meters high and rise from the coastal plain. It forms a natural connection between the higher inland Clarke and Conners Ranges and the coastal lowlands.
Flora and fauna
The vegetation consists mainly of rainforest with an increasing number of New Guinea Araucarias (English: Hoop Pines ).
The park is home to near threatened mammals such as the koala , the pygmy marten , bird species such as the soot oystercatcher , paradise lair and reptiles such as skinks ( Eulamprus amplus and Saproscincus spectabilis ).
