The Cordalba National Park (English Cordalba National Park ) is a 25 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia . It is named after the small town of Cordalba to the south-east.
location
It is located in the Wide Bay-Burnett region in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast about 270 kilometers north of Brisbane and 250 kilometers southeast of Rockhampton . Between Gin Gin and Childers , the Bruce Highway passes the park at a distance of about 6 kilometers. The Burnett River runs two kilometers to the northwest . There are no visitor facilities.
The national parks Bingera and Goodnight-Scrub are in the neighborhood .
Flora and fauna
The national park protects up to 150 meters high, coastal, subtropical rainforest.
The park is home to numerous frogs , birds , reptiles and mammals , including the endangered Little Pied Bat ( Chalinolobus picatus ), from the smooth-nosed bat family , and koalas .
Among the birds, the white-forehead chatterbox ( Manorina melanocephala ), smooth-forehead leather head ( Philemon citreogularis ), spotted panther bird ( Pardalotus punctatus ) and the colorful mountain lorikeet ( Trichoglossus haematodus moluccanus ) are particularly common .
