The Cudmore National Park (English: Cudmore National Park ) is a national park in the east of the Australian state of Queensland .

location

It is 844 kilometers northwest of Brisbane and 120 kilometers northeast of Barcaldine .

The Narrien Range and Epping Forest national parks are in the vicinity .

In the national park, light forest is protected as undergrowth with Poplar Box eucalyptus ( Eucalyptus populnea ), partly with Archidendropsis basaltica .

Driveway

The national park and the adjacent Cudmore Resources Reserve , a state reserve, can only be reached from the east via unpaved roads. From Alpha on the Capricorn Highway a dirt road leads 131 kilometers north to the settlement of Forrester , a few kilometers east of the reserve. This settlement near the upper reaches of the Belyando River can also be reached from the northeast via various unpaved roads that branch off from Gregory Developmental Road .
