The Triunia National Park (English Triunia National Park ) is a 34 hectare national park in Queensland , Australia .

location

It is located in the Wide Bay-Burnett region on the Sunshine Coast about 92 kilometers north of Brisbane and 150 kilometers south of Hervey Bay . From Nambour on the Bruce Highway follow the Nambour Mapleton Road towards Mapleton . About halfway down the road branches off to the south, Dulong Road , which passes the national park after three kilometers. There are no roads or visitor facilities in the park itself.

The National Parks Mapleton , Mapleton Falls , Eudlo Creek and Ferntree Creek are in the vicinity .

Fora and fauna

The national park protects coastal subtropical rainforests up to 260 m high .

Various birds have been spotted in the park, including the Papuan Weih ( Aviceda subcristata ), the Pheasant-Spurred Cuckoo ( Centropus phasianinus ) and the Grouse ( Alectura lathami ). In addition, the park is home to four different plant species from the silver tree family , all of which are classified as endangered, including Bopple Nut ( Macadamia ternifolia ), Macadamia Nut ( Macadamia integrifolia ), Triunia robusta and Ball nut ( Floydia praealta ).
