The Dan Dan National Park (English Dan Dan National Park ) is a 16.4 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia .

It is located about 420 kilometers north of Brisbane and 105 kilometers south of Rockhampton . The closest town is Gladstone . From here the park can be reached via the Dawson Highway . After Calliope , Gladstone Mount Road branches off to the south, after about 2 kilometers you follow Tableland Road . 20 kilometers further south, the road crosses the national park. There are no visitor facilities.
The Castle Tower , Wietalaba , Dawes and Kroombit Tops national parks are in the vicinity .
Flora and fauna
The park, which is up to 350 meters high, protects primary , dry rainforests and open eucalyptus forests. 87 different bird species have been observed in the diverse vegetation, copper-necked pigeons ( Geopelia humeralis ), all-color loris ( Trichoglossus haematodus ), red-tipped mistletoe ( Dicaeum hirundinaceum ) and golden-eared honey-eaters ( Meliphaga lewinii ) are particularly common .
