The Cherbourg National Park (English Cherbourg National Park ) is a 10 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia . It is named after the nearby town of Cherbourg .
location
It is located in the Wide Bay-Burnett region in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast about 155 km northwest of Brisbane and 150 km southwest of Hervey Bay . The closest town is Gympie . From here the park can be reached via Wide Bay and the Burnett Highway . 25 kilometers south of Goomeri , at the level of the Lake Barambah reservoir , you pass the national park at a distance of two kilometers. There are no access roads or visitor facilities.
The national parks Woroon , Nangur , Tarong and Wrattens are in the vicinity .

The national park protects dry rainforest and open eucalyptus forest up to 430 meters high , including "Small-fruited Gray Gums" ( Eucalyptus propinqua ), "Rusty Gums" ( Angophora leiocarpa ), "Narrow-leaved Red Ironbark" ( Eucalyptus crebra ) and "Gum-topped Box" ( Eucalyptus moluccana ).
