The Warro National Park (English Warro National Park ) is a 60 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia .
location
It is located in the Wide Bay-Burnett region in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast about 340 kilometers north of Brisbane and 185 kilometers southeast of Rockhampton . The closest town is Gin Gin . From here you can reach the park via the Bruce Highway in a northerly direction. After about 40 kilometers, the highway runs parallel to the western border of the national park for 6 kilometers. In the south of the National Park borders the reservoir Lake Monduran . However, there are no visitor facilities.
The national parks of Bania , Bulburin , Littabella and Mount-Colosseum are in the vicinity .
Flora and fauna
The national park protects dry rainforest and open eucalyptus forest up to 410 meters high .
Numerous birds are at home here, especially the mountain lorikeet ( Trichoglossus haematodus moluccanus ), the plain-mantled thickhead ( Pachycephala rufiventris ), the gray-breasted thickhead ( Colluricincla harmonica ) and the noisy head ( Philemon corniculatus ). Among the frogs there are often species from the families of the tree frogs and Australian southern frogs , such as the Ornate Burrowing Frog ( Platyplectrum ornatum ). There are also some endangered plant species in the park, such as the Silver Leaf ( Argophyllum nullumense ), Wild May ( Kunzea flavescens ) and Eucalyptus decolor .
