The Junee National Park (English Junee National Park ) is a 54 km² national park in Queensland , Australia .

location

The park is 177 kilometers south of Mackay and 170 kilometers northwest of Rockhampton , the nearest town being Middlemount . There are no access roads or visitor facilities.

Terrain forms

Junee National Park comprises a plateau about 260 meters above sea level and the valleys of the Isaac River and Mackenzie River 100 meters below . The Junee State Forest is immediately adjacent to the south .

economy

The Bowen Basin in the vicinity of the park is home to the most important coal and natural gas reserves in Australia.
