The Brampton Islands National Park (English: Brampton Islands National Park ) is a national park in the east of the Australian state of Queensland . It is 834 km northwest of Brisbane and about 35 km north of Mackay . It covers most of Brampton Island and the entire area of neighboring Carlisle Island . The park is part of the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site .
The South Cumberland Islands , Newry Islands , Yuwi Paree Toolkoon and Smith Islands National Parks are in the vicinity .

Sights and facilities
The park has rainforests , sandy beaches and coral reefs . There are hiking trails to the highest point of Brampton Island and around the island. The 8.7 km long circular route leads visitors through sparse eucalyptus forests , wet and dry rainforests, grasslands and mangrove forests .
Camping is permitted on Carlisle Island , where facilities are also available. From October to May one can find box jellyfish in the sea around the islands .
