The Mazeppa National Park (English: Mazeppa National Park ) is a national park in the east of the Australian state of Queensland . It is 821 kilometers northwest of Brisbane and 220 kilometers west of Mackay on Gregory Developmental Road .

The park was named after Lord Byron's Mazeppa , a poem about Iwan Masepa .

The park is located in rolling hills in the hinterland of the coast.

In the national park, a small area of unchanged acacia thickets is protected, which alternates with light eucalyptus forest . Also sandalwood and Cassis bushes occur.

Camping in the park is not permitted because of the fragile, original vegetation. Hiking trails are signposted, but should not be left out of consideration for nature and should be used with appropriate caution, especially after rainfall.

Mazeppa National Park is located directly east of the Gregory Developmental Road, 75 kilometers northwest of Clermont . The small park itself can only be explored on foot.
