The Goomboorian National Park (English Goomboorian National Park ) is an 18 square kilometer national park in Queensland , Australia . It is named after the small town of Goomboorian in the north.
location
It is located in the Wide Bay-Burnett region on the Sunshine Coast about 150 kilometers north of Brisbane and 90 km south of Hervey Bay . From Gympie you can get to the park via Tin Can Bay Road and further on at Canina on Pomona Kin Kin Road after about 13 kilometers. There are no visitor facilities in the national park.
The Gympie , Woondum and Great-Sandy national parks are in the vicinity .
Flora and fauna
The national park protects up to 270 meters high, coastal subtropical rainforest .
Many birds, such as the Gray Butcherbird , monk tracked catcher ( Coracina tenuirostris ) Glanzspitzendrongo ( Drogo bracteatus ) Weißkinn-Honigschmecker ( Melithreptus albogularis ) as well as marsupials such as the Great petaurus are native to the National Park.
