The Dularcha National Park (English: Dularcha National Park ) is a national park in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland .

In the park there is a former railway tunnel where bats have settled.

It is 78 kilometers north of Brisbane and 2 kilometers north of Landsborough .

In the park there are eucalyptus and alluvial forests with flooded gum eucalyptus ( Eucalyptus grandis ) and cabbage tree palms ( Livistona australis ).

tunnel

The heart of the park is a 93.5-meter-long, curved railway tunnel between the stations Landsborough in the south and Mooloolah in the north. It was built in 1891 and served on the Old North Coast Line between Braibane and Gympie . Bats, moths and other cave animals have now settled there .

Facilities and access

There are several hiking trails that can be walked or ridden with bicycles, one of them through the tunnel. There are no tent or picnic areas.

The national park is within walking distance from Landsborough or Mooloolah rail stations. Both locations are about 10 kilometers west of the Bruce Highway , about 30 kilometers north of Caboolture .
