La Valette is a French commune with a population of 71 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Grenoble and belongs to the canton of Matheysine-Trièves (until 2015: canton of Valbonnais ).

La Valette is located about 40 kilometers south-southeast of Grenoble on the Roizonne River . La Valette is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lavaldens in the north, Oris-en-Rattier in the east, Siévoz in the south, Nantes-en-Ratier in the west and Saint-Honoré in the west and northwest.
