Rothwell was a British automobile brand, which was distributed 1904-1916 by the Eclipse Machine Co. in Oldham (Lancashire) .

The Rothwell models were mid-range vehicles with medium-sized two- and four-cylinder engines. The counter-steered four - cylinder engine of the 25-hp model, which was produced in 1910–1916, was remarkable .

Before the First World War the brand was quite successful in Lancashire , but the war ended Eclipse's activities in this regard. After the war, the automobile industry did not revive.
