Presles is a French commune with a population of 87 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Grenoble and the canton of Le Sud Grésivaudan (until 2015: canton of Pont-en-Royans ). The inhabitants are called Preslins .

Presles lies on a ridge in the Vercors . The municipality belongs to the Vercors Regional Nature Park . Presles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-de-Chérennes in the north and north-west, Rencurel in the east, Choranche in the south, Saint-André-en-Royans and Saint-Romans in the west and Beauvoir-en-Royans in the west and north-west.
