- Washington DC / United States : The International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), an arbitration board at the World Bank , has dismissed a lawsuit by the US tobacco company Philip Morris International against the state of Uruguay after six years of negotiations . In Uruguay, in addition to high tobacco taxes , there is a strict smoking ban in restaurants and many public places. There is also an advertising ban and drastic warnings on the cigarette packs .
