The Bambi is an annual television and media prize awarded by the German media company Hubert Burda Media. It was created in 1948 and the first recipients were Marika Rökk and Jean Marais. It is said that Rökk's daughter called the prize "Bambi" when she brought it home, apparently inspired by Felix Salten's book Bambi, A Life in the Woods. The prize was originally a deer made of porcelain.

Since 1958, the deer has been made of gold by the art casting workshop of Ernst Strassacker in Süßen. Frequent awardees include Heinz Rühmann (12), Peter Alexander and O. W. Fischer (10), Sophia Loren (9) and Maria Schell (8).
