Colombia stood out in the game through frequent fouls and long discussions with the referee about decisions. Referee Geiger only gave Wilmar Barrios the yellow card for a headbutt against Jordan Henderson after video evidence. At half time, Raheem Sterling was rammed by a Colombian supervisor on the way to the dressing room. Johan Mojica attempted to kick the penalty spot before Harry Kane took the penalty.
