Scey-sur-Saône-et- Saint-Albin is a commune with 1,545 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Haute-Saône in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Vesoul and is the capital of the canton of the same name Scey-sur-Saône-et-Saint-Albin and the community association Communauté de communes des Combes .

The municipality is located around 40 kilometers northeast of Gray and 15 kilometers northwest of Vesoul on the right bank of the Upper Saône . Are neighboring communities

- Ferrières-lès-Scey in the southeast,
- Chassey-lès-Scey and Ovanches in the south,
- Rupt-sur-Saône in the southwest,

The municipality's capital is located in a bend in the river Saône, which in this area can be navigated by inland waterway vessels . However, the driveway shortens the river bend with a shortcut canal that runs just south of the municipality. Nevertheless, a port for sport boats and houseboats is operated here in its own area . The municipality also includes the town of Saint-Albin , namesake for the Saint-Albin tunnel, which has its upstream tunnel portal in the extreme southwest of the municipality and enables shipping to shorten another loop of the Saône.

The municipality is crossed in the north by the national road N19 , which leads from Langres to Vesoul . The actual traffic-related supply of the area takes place via the departmental roads D3 (from Combeaufontaine towards Besançon ) and D23 (connection to the national road N19).
