Since then, the number of inhabitants has more than tripled.

Economy and Infrastructure

Until the 20th century, Pusey was predominantly a village characterized by agriculture (arable farming, fruit growing and cattle breeding). Since the 1970s, more and more commercial and industrial companies have set up shop along the main traffic routes. There are numerous companies in the precision engineering, metal processing, construction and various retail businesses. In the meantime, the village has also turned into a residential community. Many workers are therefore commuters who go to work in the other villages of the Vesoul agglomeration.

The village is well developed in terms of traffic. It is connected to the national road network with the main roads N19 ( Belfort - Vesoul - Langres ) and N57 (Vesoul - Besançon ). The N19 has been expanded to four lanes in the Pusey area and relieves the village center of through traffic. There are other road connections with Vaivre-et-Montoille and Pusy . Pusey is connected to the city of Vesoul by a bus line.
