List of abbreviations for trade journals

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of abbreviations for specialist journals contains common abbreviations or sigla for specialist journals as they are used in scientific articles. Such abbreviations are mostly familiar to scientists in the respective fields, but beyond that they are not widely used. A uniform standard is defined in ISO 4 , but different abbreviation methods are also used and, in some cases, different abbreviations are used for the same title. Some producers of literature databases also keep lists of journals with abbreviations, e.g. B. CASSI (for Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index) or the NIH (for PubMed / Medline).

After the abbreviations, the full title of the relevant journals is given and, if necessary, linked to the associated Wikipedia article. The period of publication of the journals is given in brackets.

The list is sorted alphabetically according to the abbreviations. It is not complete.
