Gomer ( Occitan : Gomer ) is a French municipality with 314 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Pau and is part of the canton of Vallées de l'Ousse et du Lagoin (until 2015: canton of Pontacq ). The inhabitants are called Gomerois .
geography
Gomer is about 15 kilometers east-southeast of Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees . The Ousse des Bois flows through Gomer . Gomer is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Soumoulou in the north, Espoey in the east, Lucgarier in the south, Beuste in the south-west and Boeil-Bezing in the west and south-west.
