Arbus ( Occitan : Arbus ) is a French commune of the department Pyrénées-Atlantiques with 1,205 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It is assigned to the canton of Lescar, Gave et Terres du Pont-Long (until 2015: canton of Lescar ) and the arrondissement of Pau . The inhabitants are called Arbusiens .

Arbus is located about eleven kilometers west-northwest of Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees in the wine-growing regions of Béarn and Jurançon . The Gave de Pau runs along the northeastern municipal boundary. Arbus is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Denguin in the north, Siros in the northeast, Artiguelouve in the east, Aubertin in the south, Monein in the west and southwest, Parbayse in the west, Abos in the west and northwest and Tarsacq in the northwest.
