- In the 350s, British Norton works driver Jimmie Guthrie wins ahead of his compatriots Freddie Frith (also Norton) and Ernie Thomas ( Velocette ).
- In the half-liter class, Jimmie Guthrie also wins ahead of Freddie Frith (both Norton), third is the Omobono Tenni (Moto Guzzi).

German motorcycle road championship
- German champions are Ewald Kluge ( DKW , 250 cm³), Heiner Fleischmann ( NSU , 350 cm³), Karl Gall ( BMW , 500 cm³), Karl Braun / Ernst Badsching (DKW, sidecar 600 cm³) and Hans Kahrmann / Heinrich Eder (DKW , Carriages 1000 cm³).
- Braun won the title posthumously after a fatal accident on the Schleizer Dreieck . The increased number of serious sidecar accidents in 1936 and 1937 - in addition to Karl Braun, for example, Toni Babl , Albert Schneider , Hans Schneider and Josef Lohner had fatal accidents - prompted the National Socialist Motor Corps, the highest motor sports authority in Germany, to ban all trailer races for 1938. On some racetracks like the Solitude , the Schleizer Dreieck and on the Feldberg , racing was even completely stopped. Sidecar races were only allowed again after the Second World War .
