League membership and placements of the SpVgg from 1963 to 2015
  • Season : states the playing time and links to the respective championship finals.
  • League : Provides the name of the league the club was in during the season and links to it if there is an article or section of its own.
  • Level : indicates the division of the league in Roman numerals ; I stands for first class, II for second class, III for third class, IV for fourth class etc.
  • Place : Mention the place in the table where the club ended the season. If the German championship was won this year , the cell is highlighted in green ; SpVgg was the reigning champion, is marked with a lighter green .
  • S , U and N : states the number of wins, draws and defeats that were achieved in the league during the season.
  • Goals : states the number of goals scored and goals conceded. It should also be noted that the number of clubs and thus the number of games in the leagues changed, which means that a comparison is only partially meaningful.
  • Points : states the number of points that the club earned during the season. With the two-point rule (until 1995) both the points won and the points of the opponents are given, with the three-point rule (since 1995) only the points earned are given, according to which in the entire table the sorting takes place. Due to the different number of games, the comparison of the scores is only of limited significance.
  • Spectators : States the club's average attendance in the season.
  • Cup : Indicates how far the club has come in the Tschammer (1935–1943) or DFB Cup (since 1952/53) . Sorting is based on how far the club was from winning. A title win corresponds to 1, a defeat in the final to 2, elimination in the semifinals to 3, etc. Since the mode of the cup has changed frequently, the number and designation of the rounds also differ. n. q. indicates that the club was unable to qualify for the final round. The second team never took part in a DFB Cup finals.
  • Comments : Mention the special features of the season, such as participation in a final round (ER).

If there is no information in the tables, it is not known. "-" means that no information is possible, as e.g. B. in the season in question the competition was not held.

title

German soccer champion

Replica of the Victoria , the challenge cup in German football for the champions from 1903 to 1944

In the ranking of the German football champions of the DFB, Fürth is tenth with three titles. The game association was the reigning champion for a total of eight years, since no football championship was held during the First World War . In terms of Bayern , only FC Bayern Munich (28 titles) and 1. FC Nürnberg (9 titles) are ahead of Fürth.

The club Tuspo Fürth , affiliated to July 1, 2003 , was also able to win the ATSB championship in 1920 as TSV Fürth .

Master stars

Due to the three championship titles won, it is possible that SpVgg Greuther Fürth may wear a championship star on their jersey . However, since she plays in the 2nd Bundesliga and is therefore subject to the remit of the DFL and only evaluates championships won in the Bundesliga, these three titles are not officially recognized. Only when participating in a league that is not subordinate to the DFL, but to the DFB (or its regional associations ), d. H. from the 3rd division downwards, the SpVgg should have the star on the jersey.

Champion of the 2nd Bundesliga

With the first promotion to the 1st Bundesliga, the top of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga could be held at the end of the season.

DFB indoor cup winner

In the final of the DFB Indoor Cup in 2000 in the Munich Olympic Hall , Borussia Mönchengladbach initially won 3-2 against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The game was rated 2-0 for Greuther Fürth because of the positive doping results of the player Quido Lanzaat at the green table.

South German master

South German cup winner

SpVgg Fürth is the only club that has won all of its finals. With a total of 5 titles, the people of Fürth are also record cup winners.

Bavarian master

North Bavarian champion

Middle Franconian cup winner

The district cup was won six times, in 2002 by the second team.

  • Middle Franconian Cup Winner (6): 1990, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1997, 2002

Intertoto Cup

In 1969 , SpVgg Fürth took part in the Intertoto Cup once and was one of nine winners. This was an international success, but the tournament at that time was more like a test series than a European Cup competition .
