In the ranking of the German football champions of the DFB, Fürth is tenth with three titles. The game association was the reigning champion for a total of eight years, since no football championship was held during the First World War . In terms of Bayern , only FC Bayern Munich (28 titles) and 1. FC Nürnberg (9 titles) are ahead of Fürth.

The club Tuspo Fürth , affiliated to July 1, 2003 , was also able to win the ATSB championship in 1920 as TSV Fürth .

Master stars

Due to the three championship titles won, it is possible that SpVgg Greuther Fürth may wear a championship star on their jersey . However, since she plays in the 2nd Bundesliga and is therefore subject to the remit of the DFL and only evaluates championships won in the Bundesliga, these three titles are not officially recognized. Only when participating in a league that is not subordinate to the DFL, but to the DFB (or its regional associations ), d. H. from the 3rd division downwards, the SpVgg should have the star on the jersey.

In the final of the DFB Indoor Cup in 2000 in the Munich Olympic Hall , Borussia Mönchengladbach initially won 3-2 against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The game was rated 2-0 for Greuther Fürth because of the positive doping results of the player Quido Lanzaat at the green table.

Bundesliga

SpVgg was a member of the Bundesliga in its 50th season (2012/13) and lost 13 home games like no other Bundesliga club before, and with four draws , not a single home game was won. In contrast, 17 points were scored in away games, more than any previous relegated team. After one year in the Bundesliga, the club is in 53rd place in the all-time table (out of 56 clubs).

Second Bundesliga

SpVgg Fürth and SpVgg Greuther Fürth took until the end of the season 2017/18 a total of 29 years at the game operation of the second division part. • Ioannis Amanatidis was loaned from VfB Stuttgart to SpVgg from 2000 to 2002 (42 games / 12 goals). Later made the jump to the Greek national team with which he took part in the 2008 European Championship .

• Nicolai Müller attracted attention during his time at Fürth (69 games / 13 goals) and moved to 1. FSV Mainz 05 . He made the leap into the German national soccer team there.
• Olivier Occéan was the top scorer (31 games / 17 goals) during his time in Fürth and was thus significantly involved in the promotion in 2011/12.
• Edgar Prib was the longest- serving player when he joined the professional team. Since 1996 he played through all youth teams and made 101 games and 9 goals for the first team and 35 games and 5 goals for the second team until he left in Hanover in 2013 .
