The federal highway 280 was a German federal highway in Thuringia and led from Meiningen to Zella-Mehlis . It has been replaced by the commissioning of the A 71 .

From Meiningen to the junction to Kühndorf in the direction of the Meiningen-Nord motorway junction of the A 71, the B 280 became the B 19 and between Benshausen and Zella-Mehlis the B 62 . The section between Benshausen and Schwarza was graded to the K 580. The section between Schwarza and the Rohr branch has been stepped down to L 1131 , which continues from there to Rohr. The third section between the Rohr branch to Kühndorf, up to the confluence with the B 19 before Meiningen, bears the designation K 581.
