SP (car brand)

SP was a British automobile brand that Derek Skilton started in his Hooe Garage (East Sussex) Ltd. in 1972 . in Hooe, Battle (East Sussex) .

The SP Highwayman was based on the mechanics of the Rover P6 and had the appearance of a roadster from the 1920s. For the prototype was 1972 2.0-l four-cylinder in-line engine with an overhead camshaft used and 2.0 liters, of 109.5 bhp (80.5 kW) at 5500 min -1 made.

Presented in the same year production version received the above controlled Rover V8 engine with 3.5 liter displacement, of 144 bhp (106 kW) at 5000 min -1 gave.

Production ended in 1974.
