Opus (make of car)
Opus was a British car brand.
Brand history
The company Rob Walker Corsley Garage from Warminster under the direction of the racing team owner Rob Walker began in 1966 with the production of automobiles. Another source brings Opus Cars of Bristol , led by Geoff Thomas into play. Geoff Thomas was a manager at Rob Walker at the time. The brand name was Opus . In 1970, the HSP Motor Company from Bristol continued production under the same brand name until 1972. From 1970 Lambert Services supplied the chassis . A total of about 224 copies were made.
vehicles
The only model was the HRF ( Hot Rod Ford ), a hot rod that looked similar to vehicles from the 1920s. The designer was Neville Trickett, who later worked for GP . The suspension came from Ford Popular and Ford Anglia and the front wheels from the Mini . A four-cylinder engine from the Ford Cortina with either 1300 cm³ or 1600 cm³ displacement propelled the vehicle. The empty weight was only 400 kg. A kit , which consisted of chassis and car body, cost 99 pounds .
