course
Vogelsberg
In Lauterbach the street begins as a Y-shaped junction to the B 254 , whereby the branches include the Lauterbach city center and merge directly to the south of it. From there, the road initially runs approximately south through Herbstein to Altenschlirf and then turns to the south-west, crossing the southern roof of the Vogelsberg . Directly east of the Hartmannshain location, it crosses the Rhine-Weser watershed , reaching its highest point at around 580 m . Then it follows the valley of the Nidder down to just before the A 45 , which it connects to at Florstadt.
Wetterau
From there it goes west through the Wetterau to Friedberg , which it crosses to meet the B 3 (and at the same time the B 455 ) to the west . It then follows the federal highway 3 to the north for 10.5 km until it branches off to the left after Bad Nauheim to connect to the A 5 (junction Ober-Mörlen).
Taunus
From Ober-Mörlen, the B 275 crosses the eastern Hintertaunus and initially follows the Usa valley up to Usingen. In the city center of Usingen, it splits into two separate one-way streets for a few hundred meters. To the west of Usingen, it crosses the area in which the Weil emerged , to the south-west of Riedelbach, at around 520 m above sea level, it reaches the highest point of its section of the Taunus and then follows the Emsbach down to Waldems-Esch, where it meets the B 8 and joins it for 100 meters Splits. From there it continues to Idstein , goes around the city to the north and west, connects to the A3 and then turns to Taunusstein , where it first crosses the B 417 ("Hühnerstraße") and then crosses the four largest Taunusstein districts one after the other . Then it follows the valley of the Aar down to Bad Schwalbach .
Coming from Wiesbaden via the Eiserne Hand , the B 54 joins Taunusstein- Bleidenstadt and uses the route for 6.4 km until the B 275 turns left from the Aartal to Bad Schwalbach (the B 54 continues down the valley from there ).
The B 275 crosses Bad Schwalbach, where it splits into two one-way streets below the Kurhaus, and ends south of it at the B 260 ("Bäderstraße") at the upper end of the Wambacher Stich , a relatively steep ascent from the Rheingau .
expansion
Apart from short sections at individual intersections and the road separations in Usingen and Bad Schwalbach, Bundesstraße 275 has been developed as a single lane with two lanes.
