Course of the road
|
The federal road 276 (abbreviation: B 276 ) begins in Mücke and leads via Gedern and Wächtersbach to Lohr .
The Laubach – Schotten section leads with tight bends through lonely forests, while the Schotten – Gedern section is wide. Both are very popular motorcycle routes. The other sections of the B 276 are also very suitable for motorcycling, there are several motorcycle cafes along the route.
The B 276 connects the Spessart and Vogelsberg to the Rhine-Main area . The federal road leading to the A 66 Bad Orb / Wächtersbach junction is therefore of particular importance for commuters from the surrounding areas.
course
The B 276 begins at the intersection with the B 49 as the main road in Mücke and continues south. It crosses Stockhausen and Freienseen , before dipping south-west into a forest area, only to drift back to the south-east a little later near Laubach . In Schotten it meets the B 455 that branches off from it , flows further south (east) past Eschenrod and meanders again and again through forests. North of Gedern it turns northeast and follows the course of the B 275 . South of Hartmannshain , the B 276 separates again from the B 275, and flows again southeast, then past Völzberg and Lichenroth to Wüstwillenroth . It now runs southwest over fields, goes south through Fischborn , Birstein and then past Neuenschmidten through Schlierbach . The B 276 continues through Hesseldorf , then crosses the Frankfurt-Bebraer railway at Wächtersbach , passes under the A 66 (with the existing junction Bad Orb-Wächtersbach) and drives west along its side to Wirtheim .
From here it runs southeast to Kassel (Biebergemünd) , Lanzingen and Roßbach and finally through Bieber and now completely through forests through Flörsbach and Flörsbachtal . The B 276 crosses the borders from Hesse to Bavaria , and now comes on its way through Frammersbach , Partenstein , where it passes under the Main-Spessart Railway and follows its course until shortly before Lohr am Main . The B 276 ends in this town and joins the B 26 directly .
