The national highway 104 (abbreviation: B 104 ) is a German national road . It begins at the junction of the B 75 and the A 226 (Lübeck-Siems junction) near the eastern border of Schleswig-Holstein in the urban area of Lübeck and ends in Linken, a district of the municipality of Ramin on the border with Poland near Szczecin .

history

The former Reichsstrasse 104 led from Stettin via Stargard (Pomerania) and Deutsch Krone to Schneidemühl , which is near the Polish border at the time.

The section between Güstrow and Teterow was completed in 1830, the road from Rostock via Malchin to Neubrandenburg went into operation in 1836. Shortly afterwards, the construction of the westernmost section between Lübeck and Schwerin began, which began in 1840 and was completed in 1844.

Attractions

To the north-east of Schwerin, the B 104 runs on the partially artificially created Paulsdamm through Lake Schwerin . In places you have a clear view of the water on both sides. A cycle path runs parallel to the road.
