This article covers the music year 2015 .
As in the previous year, the most commercially successful artist in Germany is the pop singer Helene Fischer , who dominated the Christmas business with her double album Christmas and thus pushed the internationally most successful singer Adele into second place. Sarah Connor's album Mother tongue was also very successful .
The music year 2015 was overshadowed by two major disasters towards the end of the year. On October 30th, at a concert by the metalcore band Goodbye to Gravity in the Colectiv nightclub in Bucharest, there was a fire accident and mass panic . 60 people died and around 180 were injured, some seriously. On November 13th, a concert by the Eagles of Death Metal in the Parisian club Bataclan was one of the targets of the terrorist attacks on November 13th, 2015 in Paris . 89 concert-goers died and hundreds more were injured, some seriously.
In 2015 some musical legends died, such as the two blues musicians Ben E. King and BB King , the soul singer Percy Sledge and rock singer Lemmy Kilmister from the group Motörhead .
