Oscar / Best Adapted Screenplay

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A script based on a literary model (Adapted Screenplay) is a form of script in which the script is based on a previously published publication (such as a novel or a theater play as the basis of so-called literary adaptations or an already filmed script). At first irregularly, the US Film Academy has been awarding its Oscar in this category since 1929 . This is in contrast to the Original Script category , which is written without a template.
