List of librettists

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of librettists includes well-known international representatives of their profession with their works. A librettist is the author of a libretto . He can develop his own course of action for this or start from existing materials and texts. The independent dramaturgical and literary quality of librettistic work has only recently been appreciated by theater , literature and musicology ; the corresponding interdisciplinary research area is called " librettology ".
